Paramedic – Limited Term Employment
Fitch-Rona EMS District
Fitch-Rona EMS is currently accepting applications for Limited Term Employment (LTE) Paramedic positions. These positions cover for scheduled vacation time and unanticipated sick time vacancies. This position may also provide staffing for special events that contract for EMS services within the District.
Located just south of Madison, WI, the Fitch-Rona EMS District serves the Cities of Fitchburg, Verona, and the Verona Township. In 2017, the service responded to just over 3,000 calls for service. Fitch-Rona works with the other EMS services in Dane County to provide the closest ALS ambulance service as determined by the Dane County Communications Center and works with our respective municipal fire services to respond to 911 calls.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Licensure as a Wisconsin Paramedic
- 2 years field experience at the Paramedic level, preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS
- Valid driver’s license
- ICS 100,200,700,and 800
- Dane County CEVO/EVOC certification (or equivalent), within 6 months of hire
The successful candidate will be required to complete a written paramedic knowledge exam, skills assessment, physical agility test (PAT), drug screen, background checks and driving checks prior to employment.
Current LTE wage is $19.42/hour with paid training hours available, but no other benefits.

Applicants that meet minimum qualification will be invited for a written and practical skill exam on Sept 6th at 6pm or Sept 7th at 8am and a panel interview and physical agility test on September 13th or 14th.
